.-Bow before the king of frogs-.
The king of frogs is no common frog. Though many of its species may resemble him, he is of royal blood. The first of the ponds are his ancestors, thus making him the rightful lord of the land. As a tadpole, the future to be king must survive.
And that survival implies being the only survivor. A female frog can lay up to 5,000 eggs. To be the only one left standing is a deed worthy of a king. And survival is achieved by any means necessary...
King Bobthe2104th was a benevolent king at first. The people lived happily under his rule. Blinded by love and pride, he reveled in their adoration of him. Later in his rule, word came of a frog adored by all.
They idealised him, for the good he brought to the upcoming generation. Reducing the effect of natural selection, his ideas and techniques made the people rejoice. It didn't take long before a portion of the population started to worship him.
The king was enraged. How dare the common people, to whom he had always given so much, betray him! All he wanted was their loyalties, their affection. To be the king the pond needed , wanted . With the influence of his court, it didn't take long for his benevolence to turn into malevolence...
In order for the kingdom to survive, an old deal was struck between the firsts of the ponds and the giants. A hundred frogs a year from each of the eight ponds must be offered as tribute.

In the end, the king offered the good frog as part of the 800 tribute. Convinced by his most trusted advisors, that once their messiah was gone, they would look only at him, he turned back to the masses in search of their love. It didn't take long for his right hand to stab him in the back. Before the masses, he announced the death of the judas. They dragged his corpse throughout the land, staining the waters crimson with his blood...
In the aftermath of the parade, The old king was left to rot in the blazing sunlight.
